Thor’s Power and Performance
The Tranquility weighs in at 9,050 pounds and just under 20’ long, a sturdy yet maneuverable sprinter van that will make happy campers out of weekend warriors and long haulers alike. Built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 chassis with a 188HP diesel engine or Ford Transit chassis with a 3.5L V6 gas engine with the option of all wheel drive providing plenty of power for both model options. With a 3,500 lb trailer hitch, you can bring the ATV or dirt bikes to get the thrill of exploring your favorite forest or desert.
Stand Out Features
Thor included a variety of electrical options to allow for longer remote trips. Depending on your needs you can utilize the Onan 2500 LP generator with automatic transfer switch, the 200W solar panel with exterior solar plug, or the Re(Li)able Power Pack electrical system with 400Ah lithium battery accompanied by the 3,000W pure sine inverter and 170 amp alternator to keep you powered. Staying informed of your systems status is highly convenient with the Rapid Camp+ Multiplex wiring control system. Thor included a single low profile air conditioner which will keep you comfortable without drawing excessive power. For staying warm in the winter months, the Truma Combi Eco Furnace and water heating system has you covered. Plumbing upgrades included in every model are the 350 siphon RV holding tank vent cap, fresh water tank drain, and heating pads for the holding tanks.
Thor Tranquility Exterior
A sleek yet classic impression is made on those watching the Tranquility campervan roll into a National Park, evoking a desire to roam and explore the beauty of the world. Thor Tranquility comes in up to four full body paint options including tenorite grey, iridium silver, blue grey, or arctic white. Each model is loaded with premium add-ons from Thule, like the roof ladder and bike rack. For additional lighting and a rugged look, Thor added a top mounted LED light bar with cover. The mid entry sliding door has a functional window built in providing a better cross breeze. Screens are provided for the sliding and rear doors to allow for additional airflow on a beautiful day. Thor Tranquility Interior
Thor designed two different floor plans for the Tranquility, the 19L model has a separated bed with a small front seating area while the 19P has one larger rear seating area with a fold out bed. Each model includes vinyl flooring complemented by the soft-touch vinyl ceiling throughout. LED lighting provides ample visibility while reducing power consumption. Lightweight cabinets with TehcnoForm Euro-style doors reduce unnecessary weight without a loss in storage space or taste. Thor included large opening side windows, you feel immersed in the natural beauty around you from the comfort of the indoors. Premium pull-down shades are installed for privacy or a mid day nap.
Each Tranquility model has a well established kitchen with solid surface countertops and overhead cabinetry. Thor included a dual burner gas cooktop, allowing for quicker preparation for meals that require multiple pots. A microwave oven is installed above the single door 12V electric refrigerator to reduce waste of precious interior space. Conveniently prepare food for the campsite grill on the fold-out exterior table. Quickly vent food smells or heat from cooking with the 12V powered ceiling vent with switch. Thor utilized every foot of space effectively and efficiently inside their Tranquility campervan.
Thor Tranquility Exterior Features
Thor included a 24” TV with JBL FLIP wall mounted speaker for a great viewing experience, be it a late night movie with a loved one or a mid-day game. A Winegard Connect 2.0 4G/Wi-Fi/Digital TV antenna can keep you connected or hookup to the cable provided at your campground. If you prefer a HS/DDS satellite, preparations are included so you can easily add one. Inside the mid entry door of the Thor Tranquility 19L model, you will see a small seating booth with a removable table with a mid van wet bath. As you walk through the galley, in the rear Thor included a 51” by 74” bed with side flairs. Compared to the 19P model Tranquility which has one rear seating area with removable table and 70” by 72” fold out sleeping area. Each model’s bath includes a cassette toilet, shower with deluxe curtain and power vent with wall switch.
